What makes the modular homes less expensive?

Modular homes are just built in the most controlled and efficient process with attention to environmental concerns and minimizing waste. When you buy a modular, you also have the purchasing power of 350 builders who produce an average of 5 homes a year each. When you do the math, that adds up to the incredible buying power of 1750 homes annually.

Are they built with lesser materials?

As far as the quality of materials used, we actually sought out several of the top builders in the Florida Keys to find out what they were using to build their homes for clients like yourself. We found that we are able to duplicate the materials they use, and in doing so create a stronger home because of the guaranteed inspections that happen before the modular units are even transported to your construction site. Our homes go through more inspections before they leave the construction plant than a typical site built home will have through the entire project.

I have some house plans I would like to use, but I don't think they could build it as a modular, how can I find out?

If you are ever in question, please trust our advice which is free. Always at the least let us submit the plans to Nationwide Custom Homes to see if your project is feasible. The answer is rarely ever no. On those rare occasions when we get a "No", we can modify your plans slightly to make them work.

What is the first step in this overwhelming process? Where do I start?

We can start anywhere. The best thing to do is contact us and set up a time where we can either talk to you on the phone, or visit you at your property to determine the course of action necessary to make your home project a reality. There is no charge for our consultation services. You do not give us any money until you are ready to order plans. You do not part with anymore of your hard earned money until you are ready to order a home, and we have the permits for your project.
